The 3rd Filming of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Begins in a Surprising Way in the Shadow of the Strikes!

MOVIE NEWS – After the success of the Sonic films so far, Paramount is not delaying the production of the third part. However, as a result of the American actor’s strikes, filming will begin in the UK in a special way, without actors.

Since the first and second parts of “Sonic the Hedgehog” performed relatively well in theaters, the Paramount studio is naturally committed to a sequel. The third part was also announced soon, which is planned to be presented by the end of 2024. At the same time, the current US actors’ strikes pose serious challenges to the production, especially as many Hollywood films are shot in the UK.

The creators of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 have to face the reality that the August shooting start date is approaching. According to reports, Paramount does not want to postpone the shooting, so they decided to start work in September, but without actors. This means that scenes that do not require live actors will be prioritized. It is worth noting that during the filming of the second part, we saw examples of how Sonic and his companions were replaced with puppets during real shots. Filming is of course taking place in the United Kingdom, and based on some photos, the construction of the sets began in July in Farnham, south London.

It is not yet known what will happen if the strikes drag on until 2024, as you cannot wait forever. The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movies are essentially live-action productions, so they work with real actors in addition to CGI characters. Interestingly, similar information was also received about Paddington 3: shooting started in July, but without the main character of the film, Rachel Zegler, as she was also involved in the strike. Many other projects have been shut down due to strikes, leaving crew members to look for other work opportunities.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is slated for an American release on December 20, 2024, and the creators, including director Jeff Fowler, screenwriters Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington, and Ben Schwartz, who provides the voice of Sonic, are all they will return.
