The PS5 version of Saints Row received a critical score of 61 on Metacritic. The user score was much lower at 2.9. Saints Row was criticised for its story, characters and visuals. Players also seem to have experienced a wide range of technical problems.

Overall, fans seemed unhappy with this reboot, but the release of PS Plus may allow it to reach a much wider audience.
