According to Insider Gaming, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions looks to be a fast-paced, multiplayer game that aims to be a lot of fun.
The Harry Potter franchise has been revived in the world of video games. The Hogwarts Legacy kicked off the change, but it looks like one of the most anticipated titles in the saga is coming soon. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a multiplayer, standalone experience of the popular flying broom sport seen in the films.
The game was announced a few months ago in response to fan demand. Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy did not include this game mode. However, Warner Bros. is already working on the title. Insider Gaming has access to hours of gameplay footage, and popular journalist Tom Henderson has concluded that the gameplay is very similar to Rocket League.
“The game itself feels smooth, fast-paced and has skill differences that players can really enjoy,” he writes. “Looking at the gameplay, it looks quite fun,” he says. In addition, we can expect all sorts of content related to a multiplayer video game – masks, emojis, battle scenes and more elements of the Harry Potter saga.
When will Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions be released?
Henderson did not go into details. But he did say that the game is pretty much finished. He says that “the game has undergone quite a major overhaul”, although it would not be unusual for it to be “released within the next six months”. We are likely to hear more about the game in the coming weeks, as it is currently being played in a select group.
