Has The Name Of MachineGames’ Indiana Jones Game Been Revealed?

Although we haven’t seen any gameplay (or anything in general) yet, it’s starting to leak out.

On Twitter, Kurakasis posted what he’s discovered about MachineGames’ next game, which was announced three years ago.LucasFilm Games, Disney’s IP distribution arm, registered several domains on January 9, just a few days ago. These web addresses reveal that the game could be called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. One of the registered domains (indianajonesandthegreatcirclegame.com) is apparently for a game… The name The Great Circle was trademarked a year and a half ago, in July 2022, by LucasFilm Ltd.LTC.

The game was announced by Bethesda back in 2021, and unsurprisingly became an Xbox exclusive (Microsoft very rarely makes anything available outside of PC and Xbox; if Minecraft was an exclusive it would have caused a massive backlash, but Switch versions of Ori games are a rare exception… and according to the rumors we mentioned recently, Hi-Fi Rush might go multiplatform), so PlayStation 5 owners will be left out, as they were with Starfield. The two games are connected by Todd Howard: the director of Bethesda Game Studios’ new IP is the producer of the game in the making, The Hatter Treasure Hunter.

“MachineGames, the award-winning studio behind the recent Wolfenstein series, will showcase their upcoming Indiana Jones game, an action-adventure that puts players in the leather jacket of the legendary archaeologist. Developer Direct will feature more than 10 minutes of game and developer insights, including details on the game’s setting and story, how fans will actually play as Indy, more details on his next globe-trotting adventure, and the premiere of the first gameplay trailer,” Microsoft wrote about the game regarding the Xbox Developer_Direct.(We recently discussed it in the news; it’s being joined by three other games).

Quite an interesting name for the game.It could refer to some kind of secret society…
