An underrated Xbox Game Pass game is getting a massive free update that successfully fixes several of its previous problems.
Tactical shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm has received a massive free update on Xbox Series X/S consoles! The Xbox Game Pass title has long been a favourite of the genre, but thanks to an update, it’s now correctly optimised for current-gen hardware.
Despite being available on both Xbox One and PS4, Insurgency: Sandstorm has long been a game best experienced on current-gen consoles.
However, until the latest update, the game was never fully optimised for Xbox Series X/S hardware. Insurgency: Sandstorm has already been loved a lot. From excellent tactical combat to detailed customisation, the game has much to offer. But the latest update finally gives the title the visual boost it deserves. Through frequent updates, Insurgency: Sandstorm has maintained a dedicated player base since its release.
The latest update upgrades Insurgency: Sandstorm to a full Xbox Series X/S optimised title. The patch raises the resolution to 4K/60FPS on Series X consoles and 1080p/60FPS on the lower-powered Series S model. The game also takes advantage of faster load times thanks to the SSDs found in the Xbox Series X/S consoles. The cross-gen game will also be included as part of the update.
