Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: When’s New Game+ Coming? Insomniac Has The Answer!

Insomniac Games, which was the victim of a ransomware attack late last year, will soon expand the adventure of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

A few weeks ago, the Sony studio promised that we could expect a New Game+ mode for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in early March, and now Insomniac Games has given us a concrete date: the new game mode will arrive on March 7, allowing you to restart the story on a higher difficulty level while keeping all unlocked abilities and costumes. The studio added that it will also be possible to replay a specific mission. Ultimate Levels, Golden Gadget Styles, and additional unlockables are also mentioned.

For Peter Parker’s multiple symbiote story suits, new styles can be unlocked with Ultimate Levels, and we can set the color of the symbiote’s abilities. There are also two new free costumes, Marvel’s Hellfire Gala, designed specifically for Peter and Miles; Peter gets a design by Russell Dauterman and Miles gets the Bernard Chang look from issue eight of his comic. Insomniac has also teamed up with Gameheads for the Fly N’ Fresh costumes, but they are paid (for a limited time; $5). PlayStation says it will donate 100% of the money raised between March 7 and April 5 to Gameheads, and the pack will be free later.

The photo mode will also be updated with stickers and an action figure mode. You’ll also be able to change the time of day once you’ve completed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so getting the perfect lighting won’t be a problem. Finally, the accessibility features have also been enhanced with improvements to screen reading technology and audio descriptions.

So, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will receive the New Game+ update on March 7th, and the development of the official PC port will be finished by the end of the month (the unofficial leaked version was stopped out of necessity). Given Sony’s change in strategy, it may not be long before it’s released.
