Is Sony Still Planning To Remaster Gravity Rush 2?

The IP that launched on the PlayStation Vita could be partially brought back by Sony, according to rumors.

A rumor has surfaced on Reddit from a person who previously leaked a story about Gravity Rush. He recently wrote that production on the movie adaptation has begun, and then went on to say that Sony might be showing it at CES. He’s been talking about Gravity Rush 2 Remastered for over a year now, and now he’s posted more on Team Alua’s Gravity Rush Discord server about the project that Sony has yet to announce.

The person says that Sony could (also?) release new information sometime in May, and if all goes according to plan, Gravity Rush 2 Remastered could be released for PlayStation 5 at the end of the summer (sometime in August). But not for PC (despite recent talk from the head of Sony Interactive Entertainment of a more aggressive multiplatform strategy), so we can only expect it on Steam and the Epic Games Store at a later date if indeed a port is coming.

Gravity Rush 2 Remastered is rumored to have a proper photo mode, but this is not yet confirmed as it is currently in testing. A friend of the person is testing the game and claims that if he gets too drunk he might send some pictures of it. However, it is said that some online stuff has been cut from the game, so dusty tokens may be left out of the remaster, and online content will be accessed via a shorter side mission.

There may indeed be a Gravity Rush 2 Remastered coming to PlayStation 5 and PC, as Sony has already admitted that they didn’t have a major release of the caliber of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 last fall for the fiscal year starting in April, so the company needs to fill the void with something and remasters and ports could be a good way to do that. One of these could be the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima that we covered in the news the other day.
