The Rogue Prince Of Persia: The Prince’s Roguelite Twist [VIDEO]

This time it’s not the French publisher directly developing a new episode of the Prince of Persia IP, but another studio, Evil Empire, is working on it… and we already know them from another roguelite game, Dead Cells.

Experience fast-paced, challenging, yet accessible roguelite as you master acrobatic moves and flow seamlessly between platforming and combat. Find new weapons, add special effects to trinkets, and upgrade them to create your own builds. Discover new characters, information and areas as you try to find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion and become the hero you always wanted to be. Lead the Prince in his battle against a Hun army corrupted by dark shamanic magic and find your place in the royal family as you explore a vibrant reimagining of Persia. Piece together the puzzle and discover new areas as you rejoin the battle and meet a cast of colorful characters through non-linear story progression.

Flow seamlessly between platforming and combat, using your acrobatic moves to outmaneuver and outsmart your enemies. Use the iconic wall-run to open up new attack routes, avoid traps and explore hard-to-reach areas. Kick and dodge to take on groups of enemies when the odds are against you. Choose from a variety of deadly weapons and equip new medallions each run to unleash devastating effects, giving you the freedom to change your fighting style at will. Secondary weapons offer even more options, from bows to shields to grappling hooks. Change your loadout on the fly to adapt to new challenges. Unlock new weapons and medallions, and learn from your mistakes to become more powerful with each death. New challenges await you every time, as each level is procedurally generated, so no two runs are ever the same.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is currently in development for PC only. It will be released in Early Access on May 14th.
