Xbox Game Pass: the Second April 2024 Update

Microsoft’s current update doesn’t seem as massive as the one the Redmond-based company did at the end of March, when Diablo IV was added to the service (and since Activision Blizzard is also under Microsoft, they were able to do it essentially for free).

Harold Halibut is now available (Xbox Series, PC, Cloud; fresh release, i.e. Game Pass debut), and Orcs Must Die!3 (console = Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC, cloud) will be released today, April 17th. On April 18, EA Sports NHL 24 (console; EA Play = Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription required) and on April 23, Eiyuden Chronicle:Hundred Heroes (console, PC, cloud; Game Pass debut), Another Crab’s Treasure (console, PC, cloud; Game Pass debut) on April 25, Manor Lords (PC; game preview – still in development; Game Pass debut) on April 26, and Have a Nice Death (console, PC, cloud) on April 30.

For Xbox Game Pass Core (formerly Xbox Live Gold) members, three more games are coming on April 23: Deep Rock Galactic, Superhot: Mind Control Delete, and Wreckfest. Three DLC/game updates were mentioned by Microsoft. Ark: Survival Ascended has received the Scorched Earth update, Age of War Chapter 4 is available in Conan Exiles, and Fully Yoked is coming to Grounded. There are also two Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks. Both are MMO-related. In Fallout 76, subscribers will receive the Vault 33 Survivor Kit, and in The Elder Scrolls Online, the 10th Anniversary Edition Pack #1 is available.

Finally, let’s talk about the games that will be retiring on April 30th, which can be purchased at a 20% discount to ensure that they will be available later. These are the games that will be leaving Game Pass: 7 Days to Die (console, PC, cloud), Besiege (console, PC, cloud), EA Sports NHL 22 (console), Loot River (console, PC, cloud), Pikuniku (console, PC, cloud), and Ravenlok (console, PC, cloud).
