Ubisoft has made a huge mistake by getting the timing of the codename Red wrong, and we have found out not only the final name of the latest addition to one of the French publisher’s core IPs, but also when it will be released!
Back in January 2022, Ubisoft announced that the franchise would be visiting feudal Japan with Assassin’s Creed: Red, a game being developed by the Quebec studio (they made Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey) called Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, and it was announced on Twitter with an hourglass in a modern Japanese setting. There’s some kind of riddle attached to the hourglass, but whatever it is, they’ll be releasing the trailer on May 15th at 9am Pacific. However, the French publisher got the timing wrong, so we’ve learned that the game will be released on November 15. It falls on a Friday, a perfectly realistic date…
Assassin's Creed Codename Red becomes Assassin's Creed Shadows.

According to @Ubisoft_Frax, a dataminer, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will have at least two DLCs for $/€25 each, or you can buy the season pass for $/€40. There will also be microtransactions. You can use the game’s currency, the Helix, to buy in-game items. 500 Helix for $/€5, 1050 Helix for $/€10, 2300 Helix for $/€20, 4200 Helix for $/€35, and 6600 Helix for $/€50. The currency will also be available in the central hub of Assassin’s Creed: Infinity, according to Insider Gaming.
There are rumors that there will be two main characters in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows: a male samurai based on a real character, Yasuke, and a female shinobi/ninja. There will be more emphasis on stealth, Splinter Cell-style mechanics, and a destructible environment in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, which Ubisoft will show tomorrow night, and we’ll definitely see more of it at Ubisoft Forward, which is less than a month away.
