Xbox Game Pass: The Second May 2024 Update

The Redmond-based company is once again updating its subscription service, one of the highlights of which is a long-awaited sequel, and it’s an Xbox exclusive (although we’ve heard rumors of multiplatform in the future).

Available today is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (console = Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC, cloud, a returning title on the service), with Chants of Sennaar (console, PC, cloud), NHL 24 (cloud; EA Play – Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass required) and Immortals of Aveum (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; EA Play) coming today. The big one, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; fresh release, so it will be on the service from launch) is coming on May 21. Two new titles, Galacticare (Xbox Series, PC, cloud) and Hauntii (console, PC, cloud) will follow on May 23rd, Moving Out 2 (console, PC, cloud) on May 28th, Humanity (console, PC, cloud) and the previously rumored Lords of the Fallen (Xbox Series, PC, cloud) on May 30th, and finally Firework (PC) and a new title, Rolling Hills (console, PC, cloud) on June 4th.

In terms of DLCs, updates, Microsoft mentioned three things. Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns is now available, and it’s essentially a collaboration with Konami’s iconic Contra IP. Game Pass subscribers can purchase it at a 10% discount. An update celebrating Minecraft’s 15th anniversary is coming later today, and the May update for Starfield (covered in more detail earlier) is also showing up.

There are two Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits. Naraka: Bladepoint is offering a new perks bundle, and as of today, 500 Minecoins are being awarded in Minecraft. Finally, a few words about the games that will be leaving on May 31st. These are Chicory: A Colorful Tale (console, PC, cloud), Farworld Pioneers (console, PC, cloud), JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R (console, PC, cloud), Pac-Man Museum Plus (console, PC, cloud), Little Witch in the Woods (console, PC, cloud), and Railway Empire II (console, PC, cloud).

There will be plenty to play with.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
