As part of Days of Play, Sony has already revealed the games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to, so instead of waiting until the last Wednesday of the month, they decided to reveal the titles a little earlier. Luckily, we were on the lookout.
Starting on June 4th, AEW: Fight Forever (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) and Streets of Rage 4 (PlayStation 4 – but you can also play them on PlayStation 5 thanks to backwards compatibility) will be available to all subscribers, giving you a fighting game, a platformer and a beat ’em up, no matter which PlayStation Plus tier you’re on.
For PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, additional games will be added from June 6 if you have a PlayStation VR2. These include Before Your Eyes, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, Synth Riders, Walkabout Mini Golf, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution. On June 11, PlayStation Plus Premium members will receive three PS2 classic titles, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and Tomb Raider Legend.
Four more games have been announced for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, but this does not cover the full June update. Dredge (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) will arrive on May 29, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (PlayStation 4) on May 31, Cricket 24 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) on June 5, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) on June 7. You’ll be able to get a free avatar set via the PlayStation Plus website or through our console as part of Days of Play, EA Sports FC 24 will continue to be available to add to our catalog for free until June 18, and there will be an exclusive Roblox pack featuring Felix Freezebeard the Jedi from June 3.
And finally, a rumor: it seems that a PlayStation Showcase broadcast is planned for September this year, and this was reported on Twitter by Lunatic Ignus (who previously said that a Black Mythos: Wukong trailer would be coming in May), so Sony is planning to do it around the Tokyo Game Show. Will there really be a State of Play in May? Then the company should talk about it soon.
