God Of War: Ragnarök PS5 vs PC Version – Which One Looks Better?! [VIDEO]

God of War: Ragnarök debuts on PC on Steam and Epic Games on September 19.

Yes, Ragnarök is also coming to PC. The latest God of War game debuted on PS5 on November 9, towards the end of 2022. It was loved by critics and gamers alike. Since then, however, thousands of players have been hoping that one day they will be able to play it on PC as well. You only have to wait a few months for that. Until September 19, 2024, to be exact, that is, almost two years after its release on Sony’s console.

At Sony’s recent State of Play event, we saw the official announcement of God of War: Ragnarök coming to PC.

It will be available to play on September 19 via Steam and Epic Games. While the wait will be a long one for many, some users are making comparisons between the PS5 and PC versions on YouTube. In this case, content creator Cycu1 managed to create a video of more than 5 minutes. In it, he compares the trailer released by PlayStation frame by frame.

Honestly, there is little difference between the two versions. Everyone can draw their own conclusions from the video below. At first glance, we can see a bit more detail, and the lighting seems to be different in the PC version. However, if you want to get the most out of the game, the big difference will be all the features and technology on PC. (At least until the PS5 Pro comes out…)

Features of God of War: Ragnarök on PC

The PC port of God of War: Ragnarök is being developed by Jetpack Interactive. They are the team that already did a great job with the PC adaptation of the 2018 edition. So, we can expect a title that supports higher resolutions, unlocked frame rates, ultra-wide monitors, new visual quality settings, custom keyboard and mouse controls, and more.

However, the difference will be in the use of rescaling technologies such as DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 or XeSS 1.3. Last but not least, the game’s Valhalla free DLC will also be available on PC.
