Xbox Game Pass: The First June 2024 Update

With E3 just around the corner, Microsoft has announced the titles it will be adding to its subscription service, but two games have already been reported, so the list isn’t entirely new.

According to the Redmond-based company’s announcement, Octopath Traveler (console [Xbox Series, Xbox One], PC, cloud; returning to Game Pass) and Octopath Traveler II (Xbox Series, PC, cloud) are already available, but we covered them in more detail yesterday. Depersonalization (PC) arrives on June 12, followed by Isonzo (console, PC, cloud) and The Callisto Protocol (console, PC, cloud) on June 13, and Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series, PC, cloud), a new release, on June 18.

In terms of DLC and updates, only one game was mentioned by Microsoft. The Minecraft 15th Anniversary Update is available until June 22 (Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft Legends are all available at 50% off). There are more Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks, with the Redmond tech giant naming three. The Ebon Flintlock Pack in Sea of Thieves, the Heatwave Havoc Pack in Vigor, and the MVP 1 Pack in MultiVersus are all available to players who subscribe to the more expensive tier of the service.

Finally, the list of outgoing games is also mentioned. As always, these games can be purchased with up to a 20% discount to ensure that they remain available in our games library after June 15th. Five games will be departing on that date. They are Bramble: The Mountain King (console, PC, cloud), High on Life (console, PC, cloud), Rune Factory 4 Special (console, PC, cloud), Spacelines from the Far Out (console, PC, cloud), and The Bookwalker (console, PC, cloud).

So the ratio is not very balanced. Six games are being added to Xbox Game Pass, but five titles are leaving the service. Of the six, one is a new release and one is returning to Game Pass. That’s not a lot, but maybe we’ll be surprised during the Xbox Games Showcase.
