[SGF 2024] Tides of Tomorrow: Surviving Elynd by the Makers of Road 96 [VIDEO]

Deep Silver will publish the adventure set on the ocean planet, so DigixArt’s game may leave us with a different taste than Road 96.

From the makers of Road 96, Tides of Tomorrow challenges you to survive the troubled ocean planet of Elynd, as well as the choices made by your friends and favorite streamers. Welcome to Elynd, a world struggling to survive in the wake of the Great Flood. As a deadly plasm threatens to kill all living things, you must steel yourself to face the many challenges this oceanic planet has to offer. Find a cure, explore floating platforms, or deal with the threats posed by the community.

As you delve deeper into the mysteries of Elynd, you’ll never be alone. As you explore Elynd, you’ll meet a diverse cast of characters. Each has their own moods, motivations, and perspectives on the fate of the planet. Choose your allies carefully, as each decision has the potential to create new adversaries. Keep an eye on your friends’ adventures as well! Their actions will shape your own story, requiring you to react carefully in an unpredictable world.

Follow your friends or favorite streamers on their own adventures. Sail through unsafe waters and collect resources to improve your chances of survival. Explore various floating platforms set in unique landscapes. Meet iconic and unforgettable characters who will help – or hinder – your progress.

DigixArt studio director Yoan Fanise wrote in the press release, “We wanted to explore a different world – in this case an oceanic one – and inject a little fantasy into it. In addition, we wanted to push the boundaries of how we constructed the narrative of Road 96 and develop some real innovation in storytelling; in Tides of Tomorrow, your choices not only affect your world, but other players as well. I think we’ve come up with something very innovative.

Tides of Tomorrow is coming to PC (Steam). No release date has been announced yet. Perhaps it will jump to consoles after the successful PC version.
