Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Eight New Suits and more Stability

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have announced on the PlayStation Blog what to expect from the 1.003.000 update (not just PlayStation 5 firmware gets this odd numbering, but updates to first-party games as well…).

Peter Parker and Miles Morales will each receive four new costumes. The Metro Suit (Miles Morales) is courtesy of fashion designer Colm Dillane, aka KidSuper, and comes in a variety of colors.KidSuper collaborated with several people on other suits. One example is the Ginga Suit (Miles Morales), created in collaboration with an American football player, Vini Jr. KidSuper also helped with the third suit, the Fluro Suit (Peter Parker), but the main designer was a well-known F1 driver, Lando Norris. It’s no wonder that a speed helmet and racing overalls come to mind when we think of this costume. The Motorchic Suit (Peter Parker) is courtesy of singer/actress Rina Sawayama and KidSuper. If we had to describe it in one word, we would just say “leather”. There are several shades to choose from.

Four older costumes from Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales also return. They are the Last Stand Suit (Peter Parker), Into The Spider-Verse Suit (Peter Parker), Animated Suit (Miles Morales) and Uptown Pride Suit (Miles Morales), which have been moved from the two older Spider-Man games to the (currently!) PlayStation 5 exclusive title. Both the Last Stand Suit and the Uptown Pride Suit are available in a variety of colors. The Into The Spider-Verse Suit can be made to look more authentic by turning on the Film Style Animation mode in the graphics settings. And in the 1.003.000 update, in addition to stability, you’ll be able to toggle parry and transport between the Symbiote and Spider Arms.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update 1.003.000 will be released by Sony on June 18th for PlayStation 5.
