Since PocketPair’s game is already available on Xbox, it’s fair to wonder if the “not-Pokémon” could make an appearance on the other two console manufacturers’ hardware.
Palworld is currently available on PC (Steam, Early Access) and can also be played via Xbox Series and Xbox One (Xbox Game Preview). According to Microsoft, Palworld was the largest third-party Game Pass release to date. The studio says it managed to attract 25 million players in its first month, which is considered a very good result. A tweet from Bucky, the game’s community manager, suggests that Palworld could be coming to PlayStation 5 soon, as although the black, green and white heart emoji are the Xbox colors, a blue color has also appeared, which is associated with PlayStation.

I want to add more hearts, but not sure what colour would fit…hmm…how about….

Looks good I think!

Given that PocketPair CEO Takuro Mizobe said in March that the studio was in talks to bring the game to other platforms, it’s likely that Sony offered favorable terms. The company was also considering a partnership or sale, but at the time there was no talk of a move to Microsoft Studios (and there have been no rumors of that recently).
Mizobe told Game File that he’s more doubtful about the Nintendo Switch version. He doesn’t completely rule out a port, but on purely technical grounds it’s less likely, as the PC’s specs are much higher than those of the Big N’s platform released seven years ago. In this case, it would also be logical to consider a release for the Nintendo Switch 2, as developers will have much more powerful hardware at their disposal. (This doesn’t take into account the fact that Nintendo has previously considered legal action due to the similarity between Palworld and Pokémon…)
According to Mizobe, the PvP Arena mode (coming on Thursday, along with a new island, new palos and subspecies; dedicated servers on Xbox, new buildings, new level cap, raid and an oil rig stronghold) is a kind of experiment, as there are bigger ambitions. Mizobe dreams of a real PvP mode in the style of Ark or Rust. Maybe this will happen in the future.
