Mortal Kombat 1: Is NetherRealm a Schwarzi-Fan? [VIDEO]

Six DLC character names have been leaked, and one of them was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in two movies… and another character is from the same franchise as the Austrian-born bodybuilder!

Interloko, a well-known data miner for Mortal Kombat 1, talks about the six characters he found in the game’s files in the video embedded below. Three of the characters are from the Mortal Kombat franchise and three will be guest stars. Two of them are related to Schwarzenegger (though only one of them is directly related to him), so Ed Boons might actually be a fan of Schwarzenegger’s movies… but who are these six characters?

The Mortal Kombat trio will be Cyrax, Sektor and Noob Saibot according to Interloko. The three guest stars could be T-1000, Conan and Ghostface. T-1000 is the shape-shifting robot from the Terminator franchise, Conan the Barbarian is a given, and Ghostface is known from the Scream movies (the seventh film in the franchise is already in the works; Scream VI debuted on March 10 last year).Ghostface has been suspected before, as another data miner had already found him, and later Mortal Kombat creative director Ed Boon revealed that NetherRealm had plans to guest star the character.

The last time Mortal Kombat 1 was expanded was with Homelander from The Boys.Homelander is the leader of The Seven, the elite team of superheroes owned and managed by Vought International. In a world where “Supes” are made, he’s the strongest of them all. Homelander presents himself as the ultimate patriot and protector, but don’t let his movie star good looks or high approval rating fool you.

He is a murderous, narcissistic sociopath with an insatiable need for approval, love, and power. Homelander’s destruction of enemies and lust for power does not end with his world.

The six characters have been officially announced by NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Discovery have not yet been confirmed, but they are likely to be added to Mortal Kombat 1 later this year, or perhaps in early 2025.
