MOZI NEWS – The next Bridget Jones film (Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy) is being shot in a suburb of north London, causing no small amount of inconvenience for the residents.
The filmmakers, in agreement with the local council, have put leaflets on doors asking residents to stay off the streets at certain times because they will disturb filming. They should either stay at home or leave their homes at the specified times. Celebrities such as Harry Styles, Rami Malek, Ricky Gervais and Rowan Atkinson live in the area and are outraged at being restricted in their movements, according to the Sun tabloid. “They don’t want to be held hostage by Bridget,” the paper quotes a local resident as saying.
In the new story, Renée Zellweger’s character is a widow with two children who, of course, still wants love. While there is no shortage of age-appropriate suitors (Hugh Grant, Chiwetel Ejiofor), there is of course a younger generation (Leo Woodall) for whom Bridget falls in love.
The good news for fans is that, as previously expected, Colin Firth will return, although his character is no longer alive – we will probably see him in flashbacks. Other leaks about the filming include that Helen Fielding, the author of the novels on which the films are based and one of the screenwriters, has visited the crew several times to see how the work is going.
