The game from Firewalk Studios will have several beta periods, and the first one will be accessible to many if you pay Sony regularly.
So far, the official word was that Concord’s first Early Access Beta would only be available to those who pre-ordered the game (whether on PlayStation 5 or PC), but the developers (or rather Sony, because they’ve seen how the game has been doing on PlayStation Store so far…) have announced that it will be open to all PlayStation Plus subscribers this weekend.
And in this case, it doesn’t matter which level you choose, as a PlayStation Plus Essential subscription is enough, you don’t need to have PlayStation Plus Extra or PlayStation Plus Premium (we reported on the July games catalog update yesterday, and Premium subscribers won’t get much this time either). Firewalk also announced on the PlayStation Blog when this first beta test will start. It will start on July 12th at 10am Pacific time. The second test period will run from July 18th to July 21st and will be available for pre-load on PlayStation 5 from July 17th at 10am.
This means that PC users will miss out on the first test if they jump in for free, as they will not be able to do so without pre-ordering. If you play both betas, your achievements from the first beta will carry over to the second, but after the second beta, Firewalk will reset everything so everyone will start from scratch on launch day. Speaking of PCs, here are the minimum (and only the minimum) system requirements:
Minimum system requirements – 1080p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate, low graphics settings:
Operating System: Windows 10 x64 (Creators Update)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K/AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- Memory: 8 GB RAM (DDR4)
- Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 (6GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
- Free storage: 30 GB (on SSD)
Concord will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC on August 23.
