The person in question has previously leaked details about PlayStation Plus (and its successor, PlayStation Plus Essential), but now he’s named some titles from the more expensive tiers.
We’re feeling a bit of dejavu, as it was Billbil-kun on the Dealabs website who named some of the games that PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will soon have access to. According to him, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion and Remnant 2 will be the ones Sony will expand with, but Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Enhanced Edition, Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord, No More Heroes 3, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition, and maybe Remnant: From the Ashes could be added as well. However, for the first Remnant game, the insider mentioned that it might not actually reach subscribers. For the others, he believes this to be much more likely.
Later today, Sony will announce which titles will be added to PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium for July. In the case of PlayStation Plus Premium, it’s sad to see that Sony is barely adding to the list, as the company has several generations of games to choose from, with the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable all having some excellent games, and at the moment the best we can do is emulate them, as Sony is making incomprehensibly few of its older titles available. So it’s not really worth subscribing. Especially if you don’t really want to play games from the cloud (as currently PlayStation 3 titles only run from there).
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion was released in 2022, and with this remaster Square Enix celebrated the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. However, the PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium expansion is not official yet. We’ll let you know when Sony announces it. The Premium category is sure to disappoint…
