The new and returning companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard have finally been revealed.
It has been revealed who will be the new and returning companions of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, from which we can build our team! It wasn’t just the voices of some new and returning characters that were revealed. At San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), which will be held in the second half of the week, participants will reportedly be able to hear about the development process during several panels. Those who attend the event can also receive a free badge by proving they are on the Discord server while supplies last. There will also be two signing events: one where you can meet the development team and the other with the voice actors.
In order to give players the freshest and most customizable gameplay possible, Rook returns to the game with four voice variations.
(The hosts of) two of these voices are from North America, and the other two are from the UK. The actors are Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Good Omens) and Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077, The Amazing World of Gumball), as well as Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Destiny 2) and Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1, NCIS).
In the game, we will have seven companions who can fight side by side with us to join our team. Only one of them appeared in the previous games.
The cast of Dragon Age: The Veilguard companions (known so far):
- Ali Hillis (Mass Effect 3, Naruto) returns as Harding, the dwarven scout.
- Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Insomniac’s Spider-Man) as Davrin, a Gray Warden monster hunter.
- Jee Young Han (Perry Mason, Unprisoned) as Bellara, a Veil Jumper searching for ancient secrets.
- Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing) as Neve, a private investigator and Tevinter’s rebel Shadow Dragons member.
- Jim Maley (Star Trek: Picard, Silicon Valley) as Taash, the adventurous Dragon Hunter.
- Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails) as Emmrich, a Nevarran Mourn Watch necromancer.
- Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Fallout 4) as Manfred, Emmrich’s (skeleton) assistant.
- Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West, Married Alive) as Lucanis, “a level-headed and pragmatic assassin” from the House of Crows bloodline.
In addition to the companions, the voice actors for Solas and Varric were also revealed. Gareth David-Lloyd reprises his role as Solas, and Brian Bloom reprises his role as Varric.
The development team assured people in a blog post that more character reveals are coming. Fans will see familiar faces return in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. However, they are not yet ready to reveal these characters. They really want to avoid publishing story spoilers.
Fortunately, players won’t have to wait long until Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s full release, which is expected to take place in the fall of 2024…
