Not One, But Two Big Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass This Week?

Microsoft’s subscription service is rumored to be getting a major expansion that could make Xbox Game Pass even more appealing.

If the rumors are true, shooter fans will be pleased with the two games that could be added to the recently price-gouged Xbox Game Pass. The first major title will be one we’ve been hearing about for perhaps months, but this time the date has been announced to the day: it’s said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released on Game Pass on July 24 (but you won’t be able to run it from the cloud!), which hasn’t quite delivered the results Activision Blizzard (or now we can write Microsoft) was expecting.

Another game will follow in just two days. On July 26, Valorant will be released. No, not the PC version, but by then Riot will have finished testing the console version and the competitive shooter could launch worldwide on Friday, which could see it appear on the service of the Redmond-based tech giant. So Valorant has indeed completed its betas, and an international release could be just around the corner.

However, it is not yet clear when Microsoft will make the announcement, so it is not even 100% certain that the two games will be announced for Xbox Game Pass on the same day. In any case, if what eXtas1s says on Twitter is true, then interest in the service could increase significantly, as Call of Duty is clearly a popular brand, even for people who don’t play games.

Microsoft is starting to draw from Activision’s games, as Diablo IV on Xbox Game Pass comes from Blizzard, and rumors are that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 could also find their way into the subscription service’s catalog. But we should also point out that this is not official yet!
