Xbox Collectors, Get Your Wallets Ready – Another Hardware Leak from Microsoft!

TECH NEWS – Xbox is doing very well: Microsoft is preparing to launch another unique accessory for the console…

Microsoft Xbox users are getting another special edition controller that was leaked before the official announcement. Of course, this is not such a big surprise. Xbox is slowly releasing new controller designs like Deadpool’s butt more often than they release a new game…

The leaked information comes from Dealabs. They say it will be called the Sky Cipher Special Edition controller, an original design not inspired by a specific game or series.

In terms of appearance, it is said to be inspired by another special edition controller that was released alongside Forza Horizon 5. You might remember this, as it was the controller with the translucent cover and paint splotches. It looks like the new controller will look like this, but it will be blue.

The new accessory will be available in limited quantities during August.

It probably won’t be everyone’s favourite, but it might be worth considering if you’re a collector of special edition hardware. So keep your eyes open because the official announcement could come anytime.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the hardware upgrade that many fans have been waiting for. After all, most people are still waiting for an improved Xbox controller on par with PlayStation 5’s DualSense.

An Xbox controller similar to the DualSense was leaked during Microsoft’s V FTC trial. It will reportedly include features such as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and a more ergonomic design, but we haven’t seen an official unveiling from the company yet.

Given how many controllers Xbox actually sells, it would be obvious to release one that’s a bigger step up than a nicer colour scheme. Especially since we can design our own controller anyway with the help of Design Labs.

So, for now, Xbox fans must make do with the occasional special edition hardware. But they can rightly hope that Xbox will prepare something more worthwhile to unveil later this year.
