20th Century Studios’ “Planet of the Apes: Empire” will also be available on Disney+ from August 2

MOVIE NEWS – Once again, the fate of the world is at stake in the thrilling new installment of the Planet of the Apes franchise, debuting August 2 on Disney+. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” impressed audiences around the world, becoming one of the biggest global box office hits of the year, which also marks the beginning of a new era for the franchise.

 

Director Wes Ball brings a new color to 20th Century Studios’ world-renowned, legendary work with this spectacular action-adventure film. In the future several generations after Caesar’s reign, the apes live harmoniously as the ruling race – and the humans live in their shadow. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a harrowing journey that forces him to question everything he knows about the past and make decisions that will shape the future of apes and humans alike.
