Red Dead Redemption: Rockstar’s Future Plans Have Been Hidden in Plain Sight for Years!

Take-Two and Rockstar have been very clever about it: something could be in the works, and they hinted at it years ago, it just seemed so obvious that we didn’t take the hint seriously.

Red Dead Redemption 3 is something we can’t expect anytime soon, as Rockstar Games is currently working hard to get Grand Theft Auto VI into the hands of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series owners in the fall of 2025, which is when Take-Two has set GTA VI’s release date. Of course, PC users will have to wait again (who knows how long?), but after that, Rockstar might start working on the new Red Dead Redemption, which has been the subject of many fan theories.

Some think it will star Sadie Sadler, others think it will be a reboot, but it’s also possible that another prequel story will be created in the next installment. There is also potential for a new prequel story because a picture in the game shows three members of the Van Der Linde gang. The picture was taken years before the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 begins. This could be an obvious reference.

The prequel, to the prequel.

The image shows Dutch, Arthur and Hosea. All three are very young, leading fans to speculate that the third Red Dead Redemption could focus on this era, if Rockstar ever gets to that point. And for this reason, new voice actors may be needed, as Roger Clark, the voice of Arthur Morgan, believes that the events of the second part of the story have ended his story. On Reddit, the reactions were not unanimous. There were those who didn’t like the idea of Dutch or Hosea being playable characters because neither had a “redemption arc”.

That’s why many people might think that a whole new story could be created with new characters, since most of the gang’s stories have already been told. But even that’s just speculation, because Rockstar hasn’t said a single word about whether they plan to develop Red Dead Redemption 3 at all.
