The American remake of the Danish horror focuses on psychological motivations

MOVIE NEWS – The American remake of the Danish horror film The Visit, Don’t take it in your mouth, will be released soon, and the audience is looking forward to the screening.

It seems obvious that it is not worth coming out with a new version so quickly after the original, so it is a matter of curiosity how the already known story will be twisted in the American version. Well, James McAvoy, the main character of Speak No Evil, has already revealed that his film will be less violent than the original, because it will not be about bloody cruelty , but focused on psychological motivations. This is in line with the trend that has developed recently, in the spirit of which some horror films focus more on mental disturbances. ScreenRant cites the Soundless franchise as an example, where the alien invasion is just a means to show how a family struggles to survive and how their relationship with each other changes.

In The Visit, a Danish family meets friendly Dutch people with young children, who invite them to their home for a holiday. It slowly becomes clear that something is wrong with the hosts, and then the events take a terrible turn. Many people are wondering how Speak No Evil, featuring American and British couples, will solve the shocking ending known from the original, and whether the end of the film will be open for possible sequels.

In any case, the quality is guaranteed by the fact that the scriptwriter of Speak No Evil is the same Christian Taftdrup who made the original version a success, and the director is James Watkins, who made the depressingly atmospheric Killing Prospects made his mark.
