MOVIE NEWS – Sega and Prime Video have released the first trailer for the Like a Dragon live action series.

The series is officially titled Like a Dragon: Yakuza. According to the synopsis, the story “depicts the lives of fierce yet passionate gangsters and people living in a huge entertainment district, Kamurochō, a fictional district modelled after the violent Shinjuku ward’s Kabukichō, that acts as the backdrop of the gameplay.”

The short description continues: “Like a Dragon: Yakuza showcases modern Japan and the dramatic stories of these intense characters, such as the legendary Kazuma Kiryu, that games in the past have not been able to explore.”

The live-action series will consist of six episodes, the first three episodes will be released on October 25th and the last three episodes will be released on November 1st.

The series being produced in Japan will be available in the original Japanese language, with subtitles and dubbing. (Knowing Prime Video, we can also expect Hungarian dubbing.)

The series is directed by Masaharu Take (100 Yen Love) and Kengo Takimoto (Kamen Teacher), and will star Ryoma Takeuchi (Kamen Rider Drive) as Kiryu Kazuma.
