Hugh Jackman’s New Challenge: A Darker Robin Hood in His Next Movie!

MOVIE NEWS – “Exceeds Expectations”: Hugh Jackman will soon portray Robin Hood in the film The Death of Robin Hood, and the director has made big promises regarding the film.

Michael Sarnoski, the director of Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One, has embarked on another exciting project. The film The Death of Robin Hood, starring Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer, promises a completely different approach. Robin Hood has been portrayed more than 70 times on screen, making the character well-known and beloved by audiences. However, the last two films, the 2010 Ridley Scott and the 2018 Otto Bathurst versions, did not achieve great success.

Sarnoski aims to present a darker storyline, which will hopefully offer a fresh experience for viewers. In this version, Jackman plays a battered Robin Hood who struggles with his criminal past and, after a severe injury, finds himself in the care of a mysterious woman (played by Jodie Comer). Filming is expected to begin early next year, and the director is eager to start:

“I think we’ll begin shooting early next year. I don’t want to reveal too much, but we all know that Hugh Jackman is an incredible actor. This time, we’ll see him in a role that is very different from what we’re used to, but it will be amazing. He will showcase a wide range of his acting skills. People generally think of Robin Hood as someone who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. We have our own idea of what this character truly is. I believe what Hugh will do with this role will exceed people’s expectations, and I am very excited to see him dive into the work.”
