Marvel is back in Fortnite in a big way! The much-anticipated collaboration between Disney and Epic Games is now delivering exciting new content for Fortnite players. At the recent D23 event, Epic Games revealed the latest update for Fortnite: Chapter 5, Season 4, packed with an array of Marvel, Disney, and Pixar characters.

Dubbed “Fortnite x Marvel: Absolute Doom,” this new chapter launches on Friday, August 16, and includes a Battle Pass filled with fan-favorite characters and skins. As the tagline on YouTube suggests, “Be one of the first heroes to defend the island from Marvel’s Doctor Doom and his minions, or become a villain and join Doom’s realm.” For just 950 V-Bucks, you can unlock the Battle Pass and instantly get Gwenpool.

Other characters included in the Battle Pass are Gwenpool, War Machine, Bananarine, Emma Frost, Captain Jones, and Mysterio. Additionally, a Doctor Doom outfit will be available in September through Battle Pass missions. Epic Games also confirmed that Fantastic Four skins will soon be available in the Fortnite store, along with other iconic characters from Pixar and Disney. Expect to see Mr. Incredible, Ms. Incredible, and Frozone, as well as villains like Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, and Captain Hook in the coming weeks.

In related news, Fortnite’s Battle Pass skins will now be eligible to appear in the store. However, there are some conditions: players will have to wait at least 18 months after the Battle Pass expires, and not all elements may be available in the store. While this affects outfits, backbling accessories, pickaxes, emotes, instruments, and decals, some content might still be missing from the store after a year and a half.
