There are two release dates, as the game from The Outsiders, Lab42 and Funcom (the latter is the publisher) will not all be coming to platforms at the same time.

Four and a half months ago, Funcom announced that Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR will also receive Metal: Hellsinger VR, which will also include the Dream of the Beast DLC if you pre-order. This adds two additional songs, a weapon and three costumes with different passive effects.

The original acclaimed rhythm shooter, developed by The Outsiders and rated 96% positive on Steam, was built from the ground up for virtual reality in collaboration with Lab42 Games to take full advantage of the potential of virtual reality. With over three million players having made the Hells fear the beat since the release of Metal: Hellsinger, this year players will be able to step into the half-demon body of the Unknown. With access to their full arsenal of powers and weapons, they will be able to aim, move, slash and shoot with complete freedom in virtual reality.

Highly requested by the community, Metal: Hellsinger VR includes the game’s legendary original score, featuring artists such as Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Matt Heafy (Trivium), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) and more. Metal: Hellsinger burns bright in virtual reality with its meaty first-person gunplay, immersive world that pulsates to the rhythm of the music, and hypnotic, pulse-pounding gameplay flow. Aim two pistols independently, reload manually, and slash with your blade to the beat. Whether you want to move in full virtual reality, use the joystick, or even play sitting down, it’s all possible. Face the hordes of Hell in a thrilling quest to avenge the Red Judge, ruler of the Hells, in the full original campaign voiced by Troy Baker and Jennifer Hale. With the Red Judge defeated, Archdevil Difficulty and Torment challenges await.

Unique weapons will include dual pistols, an explosive bow, a talking skull, and a blade. The two new DLC songs are performed by Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore), and the DLC weapon is The Red Right Hand, which fires rhythmically. One of the effects of the new costumes is that you’ll have more maximum ammo with accurate quick reloads.

Metal: Hellsinger VR is coming to Meta Quest 3/2/Pro on September 26th and to PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR on October 3rd.
