MOVIE NEWS – 86-year-old Ridley Scott was caught at the Los Angeles premiere of Alien: Romulus and asked: what can we expect from his new film, Gladiator II? from? The dill-bearded director gave a surprising answer. He stated without hesitation that the sequel was just as good as the first part.
Gladiator won five Oscars in 2000, winning best picture and best actor (Russell Crowe). In the sequel, the little boy from the original film, Lucius, fights as an adult warrior against the evil empire, also in the arena of slave gladiators, as the title of the film aptly suggests. The new gladiator is played by Paul Mescal, alongside Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and in the previous part an important role Connie Nielsen, who plays Lucius’s mother, already liked her.
