Dragon Age: The Veilguard: Friendly System Requirements and Release Date Announced! [VIDEO]

BioWare’s next game won’t be joining the duo of Avowed and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as the studio has announced the date for the long-awaited Dragon Age adventure.

Let’s take a look at the surprisingly low system requirements, so there won’t be much need to upgrade your configuration (unless it’s really old, but that’s beside the point):

Minimum System Requirements:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system required
  • Operating System: Windows 10/11 x64 (no version number given)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X (see notes)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or 1650 / AMD Radeon R9 290X
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free disk space: 100 GB
  • Additional notes: SSD recommended, but HDD supported; AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 required for AMD processors on Windows 11

Recommended System Requirements:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system required
  • Operating System: Windows 10/11 x64 (no version number specified)
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-9900K / AMD Ryzen 7 3300X (see notes)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700XT
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free disk space: 100 GB
  • Additional notes: SSD required; AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 required for AMD processors running Windows 11

So it’s not that bad, and the most you should do is check if AGESA is up to date on AMD processors. Apart from that, you don’t need to immediately switch to 13th or 14th-generation Intel CPUs (or Ryzen 7000 series in the case of AMD) along with RTX 4000 or RX 7000 series graphics cards. Of course, you’ll probably still need an internet connection as Electronic Arts is still pushing Denuvo DRM.

So when is the game coming out? We now have an answer to this question, as BioWare and Electronic Arts have announced that it will be released on October 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store; so if no GOG, there will be DRM).
