So Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver have joined Avowed, leaving only two guys on the dam, and only one of them has a release date for an RPG.
BioWare recently announced when Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming (we’ll get to that game in today’s news), while Paradox and The Chinese Room still refuse to spill the beans on when Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released. It could be pushed back to 2025, like Obsidian and Microsoft’s Avowed and now Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
In the game, Henry finds himself in the middle of a civil war in 15th century Bohemia (in present-day Czechia). In the action-RPG, he will try to find his place in the medieval world and perhaps climb the social ladder in a story of love and revenge centered on one of Hungary’s historical kings, Sigismund. He was King of Hungary and Croatia from 1387 to 1437, but also King of Germany from 1411, King of Bohemia from 1419, and Holy Roman Emperor from 1433, making him one of the most influential rulers of the time.
If you go to Gamescom, you can try out the game. On August 20th, the opening night, you can get a taste of the gameplay. On the 21st, we’ll be able to see more than 20 minutes of it, and the press will be able to report on their experiences. From the 21st to the 25th, you can try out the demo on display, and we’ll have more news about the new game from the Czech developers.
The new release date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is February 11, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). Dan Vávra (Mafia I-II, Kingdom Come: Deliverance) is unlikely to disappoint this time, but there will be plenty of RPGs to come early next year.
