There have been a lot of rumors lately about some of the games that are currently only available on the Xbox Series and PC coming to the PlayStation 5, but now an older rumor has got us thinking.
Yesterday we reported what a trusted insider, eXtas1s, had said: that Forza Horizon 5 from Playground Games (currently working on the Fable reboot alongside Forza Horizon 6) would be coming to the PlayStation 5, but there’s a leak from January (!) that’s now completely accurate. Microsoft is supposed to announce the next steps in its multiplatform strategy sometime in late September, one of which was already revealed with the announcement of DOOM: The Dark Ages, as the new chapter in the Doom Slayer storyline was announced to be coming to PlayStation 5 alongside the Xbox Series and PC! (A few other Bethesda titles have also gone multiplatform, except for Starfield…)
According to a leaker writing on Discord, Microsoft Flight Simulator could also go multiplatform, and a couple of other former first-party, in-house developed titles are said to be going the same way. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was also mentioned: it’s odd that Indy is based on Harrison Ford, but Troy Baker will voice the character. The leaker added that most of the game (including the whip fights) will take place in a first-person perspective. They also said that Hideo Kojima is making a movie.
The leaks all came true (in the case of Kojima’s movie project, think Physint: Sony has announced a new partnership agreement for a game and a movie), except for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Will the game be ported in 2020, or will the new episode be released on November 19th? Probably the former. But which will arrive first on Sony’s console: Forza Horizon 5 or Microsoft Flight Simulator? We have no idea.
It’s not official yet!
