[GC 2024] Batman: Arkham Shadow: The Vulnerable Vigilante [VIDEO]

The title makes sense, as the new Batman: Arkham is not for the usual platforms, but for Meta’s VR headset…

It’s the Fourth of July, and Gotham City is under attack from a new threat: the mysterious Rat King and his cult-like followers. As widespread rioting engulfs the city, Batman races to stop this so-called “Day of Wrath,” but everything goes wrong. Experience Gotham City like never before in this immersive, full-length entry in the Arkham franchise. Set approximately two years after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins, you’ll experience the creation of iconic characters such as the Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and more.

Immerse yourself in all the grit of Gotham City through the power of virtual reality as you take down the city’s most notorious criminals. The hard-hitting Arkham combat has been realized exclusively for virtual reality – choose from fan-favorite gadgets and bold fighting styles reimagined from the popular Arkham franchise. Meet Drs. Quinzel and Crane before they became Harley Quinn and Scarecrow, as well as other iconic characters like Harvey Dent, Jim Gordon and Ratcatcher.

Enter Gotham City in fully immersive virtual reality. Set after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins, experience a new entry in the Arkham franchise like never before. Prowl the dark alleys of Gotham City, then descend into its underbelly. Explore iconic locations such as the Monarch Theatre and the Bowery from an all-new perspective on your journey to bring the Rat King to justice.

Batman: Arkham Shadow already has a release month, which is odd because it’s not that far from the launch of Camouflaj’s game, as Oculus Studios says Meta Quest 3 will get the VR game in October. If October is not so far away, why can’t the release date be specified to the day? After all, it’s not a multiplatform development.

So Batman: Arkham Shadow will be released in October, and in the video embedded below we get a taste of the gameplay. You can stop this Batman, can’t you?
