After being pushed back to 2025, indie horror Little Nightmares 3 takes shape in a terrifying trailer…
If you’ve played the Little Nightmares saga and are looking forward to the next instalment, you’re not alone. A few weeks ago, it was reported that Little Nightmares 3 would be pushed to 2025. But at least they treated the community to a new, hair-raising trailer. As you may already know, this franchise is known for its spooky atmosphere, unsettling creatures, and visual narrative that requires no words to understand the creepy story.
A new trailer was released yesterday at Gamescom 2024, giving us details on gameplay, scenarios, beasts and more. We still don’t know the release date, but it is inevitable that Supermassive Games (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures, etc.) wants to surprise the community.
All indications are that Little Nightmares 3 will retain its essence.
This is what made the game special with its dark and oppressive environment, and the puzzle and stealth mechanics remain. In case you don’t remember, the game will have two protagonists. They will have to work together in this harsh and mysterious environment that Bandai Namco presented to us. It is not yet known whether cooperative play will be possible. However, all signs point to it being possible, as the previous game made it possible. On a side note, the franchise has sold more than 12 million copies to date, and it’s highly likely that this third title will increase both that number and the success of the IP
What are the creators of Little Nightmares currently working on?
Tarsier Studios are the original creators of Little Nightmares. However, the IP was left in the hands of Supermassive Games. During the Opening Live Night at Gamescom 2024, they confirmed that they are working on a co-op horror game called ReAnimal. In the proposal, we have to save our friends from an island full of twisted and terrifying creatures. It follows a similar concept to Little Nightmares with its own elements. One of the new features is that there is no split screen. The game was developed in Unreal Engine 5, and its creators also made sure that you can play it alone offline if you want.
