Xbox Game Pass: First September 2024 Update

Microsoft hasn’t thrown any big titles at its subscription service this time, but at least it’s more than just that, with no shortage of new titles.

Star Trucker is now available (console = Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC, cloud). Age of Mythology: Retold (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; new release) is out today. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game (console, PC, cloud) is coming on September 5th, Riders Republic (console, PC, cloud) on September 11th, and Train Sim World 5 (console, PC, cloud; new release) on September 17th.

In terms of updates and DLC, Microsoft highlighted three things. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can get Dead by Daylight: Castlevania at a 10% discount, which also gives them an exclusive charm (Vampire Killer). On September 5, Aberration will be coming to Ark: Survival Ascended for free to game owners and Game Pass subscribers, and in the same game, Bob’s Tall Tales: Steampunk Ascent will be free for Bob’s Tall Tales owners and 10% off for Game Pass subscribers.

There are four Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits. In Predecessor, they get the Ready for Action Bundle (ten heroes, banner, icon, spray, and Green Shadow Ops Twin Blast skin) for the base game and the Police Pack for Metaball (eight costumes in the free-to-play sports game), MultiVersus has the MVP Pack 2 (legendary Leave Me Alone knockout animation, epic Respects sticker mote), and EA Sports NHL 24 has the Starter Pack for Ultimate Team.

Finally, the outgoing games. On September 15, the following titles will be leaving Xbox Game Pass: Ashes of Singularity: Escalation (PC), FIFA 23 (console, PC, cloud; EA Play), Payday 3 (console, PC, cloud), Slime Rancher 2 (console, PC, cloud), SpiderHeck (console, PC, cloud), You Suck At Parking (console, PC, cloud).

Content-wise, this update is not very strong.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
