Postal 2: Uwe Boll’s Epic Downfall Before He Even Had a Chance! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Imagine if one of the creators of the worst game-to-movie adaptations had used community funding to make a sequel, and then failed!

In 2007, Uwe Boll released the movie Postal, the only thing worse than Postal was Postal 3 (which was not developed by Running With Scissors [RWS], and they don’t even acknowledge its existence…). He wanted to make a sequel, for which he launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo on September 1st. The goal was $2.5 million, but the total raised was $850 from 16 backers. According to the description, the film would have spoken out against political correctness, algorithms, woke and cancel culture, and Boll said that making Postal 2 would have been a commitment to art, expression and freedom of life.

Boll did not launch the campaign under his own name, as it was run under the name of Gary Otto, co-host of the Uwe Boll Raw USA podcast. However, neither Boll nor Otto contacted RWS about the matter. Studio CEO Vince Desiderio has stated on Facebook and Twitter that the team does NOT support the project, has no idea who Gary Otto is, and is concerned that the money raised from the funding may be used for another project…

Otto wrote that if Postal 2 failed for whatever reason, he would use the proceeds to finance the sequel to Boll’s first film, German Fried Movie, California Fried Movie. The joke is that Boll added that if $2.5 million was raised, he would add that much and make the movie (but where would he get THAT kind of money?). After RWS clarified its position, the project was renamed California Fried Movie and the 16 backers were offered a Uwe Boll box set, but they still won’t get it. Otto wrote that they have suspended the campaign and blamed it all on Boll (he did what Uwe said) and as soon as they get the money they will refund the 16 people.

Everything on social media was deleted, Otto and Uwe Boll’s Raw USA Twitter was deleted and only Boll’s was left. In the video on Twitter, Boll talked about being taken off the campaign because it wasn’t worth it. Whoever insulted Otto better apologize. And he doesn’t give up hope for Postal…
