“We apologize for the inconvenience.” Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches with several technical glitches, but the developers are already working on resolving them. Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have released a list of common problems and temporary fixes.
Right now, countless Space Marines are engaging in galactic battles. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is currently available through Early Access (with the full launch set for September 9th), and many players are diving into the action-packed universe of the Emperor’s devoted warriors. However, the community has encountered several bugs in the game that are affecting the overall experience, prompting the developers to take swift action to address these issues.
Focus Entertainment, the game’s publisher, has posted a brief update on its X account, sharing Saber Interactive’s immediate plans to resolve these problems: “We are aware of the technical issues you are experiencing in Space Marine 2 and we apologize for the inconvenience. Our teams are currently working on fixing them.” Although the title hasn’t been fully released yet, many of these bugs are expected to be ironed out with the first patches.
Meanwhile, the publisher advises early access players to check the newly released list of common issues and temporary solutions. This includes crashes during the game’s first cinematic, unresponsive controllers, endless loading screens, connectivity problems on PS5, and errors during Operations mode. The company also addresses one of the most controversial choices among players: the use of Epic Online Services, a frequent component in crossplay games. They clarify that “it is not necessary to link your Steam and Epic accounts to enjoy the game. These features are completely optional and will not affect your gaming experience in any way.”
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Surpasses 100,000 Concurrent Players on Steam
Despite the hiccups, thousands of players have eagerly joined Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Even in its early access phase, the game has already attracted over 100,000 simultaneous players on Steam. Moreover, community feedback has improved in recent hours; while the game initially received mixed reviews due to the aforementioned issues, including the use of Epic Online Services, it is now enjoying Mostly Positive ratings on Valve’s platform.
