Is a Major Sony Exclusive from Last Year Coming to PlayStation Plus Premium?

An interesting banner has appeared on PlayStation Benelux (Dutch/Belgian), suggesting that a major game could be coming to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers in October.

So there was a banner on this PlayStation website, and the internet caught it, so as always, this time despite the image being published, presumably due to an oversight, everyone now knows that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which will be released on PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023, could be coming to the top tier of Sony’s subscription service. There’s no way Sony is bringing the adventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales to PlayStation Plus Essential anytime soon, we’re talking about a game that was released just 11 months ago and hasn’t even made it to PC yet!

However, it’s worth pointing out that this is PlayStation Plus Premium, judging by the image. So it’s possible that those who have subscribed to the middle tier, PlayStation Plus Extra, will miss out on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the latest masterpiece from Insomniac Games. The next game from the studio, which suffered a ransomware attack late last year, will be the PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine, but before that, the two Spider-Men on PlayStation Plus Premium may be getting DLC…

According to concept art leaked courtesy of the ransomware attack, The Beetle could be the next bad guy (bad girl…?) in the story, and there are supposedly references to him in the game’s files. There were references to Janice in them, as well as a mission list with XP rewards mentioned after completing missions. Janice Lincoln, Tombstone’s daughter, will be the one who becomes the antagonist in the events of the Spider-Man universe. Janice’s respect for her father’s criminal activities may have inspired her…

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is not yet official on PlayStation Plus Premium! The PlayStation Plus Extra/PlayStation Plus Premium offer for September has already been announced by Sony (and we wrote about it), so it could be coming in October.
