Blasphemy! Not Just Any Space Marine 2 Faction Can Get New Features and Even a Campaign!

Space Marine 2 will “probably” make these soldiers more customizable, but it has also been suggested that they “tell their side of the story”…

Over the past few days, thousands of players have faced the horrors of the galaxy in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Although impressions of the action experience are very positive, the Saber Interactive team wants to improve the game further through bug fixes and various new features. Regarding the latter, the developers are now giving fans of the brand hope by discussing possible additions to the Chaos Space Marines faction.

This came to light thanks to Oliver Hollis-Leick, creative director of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, who decided to hold a Q&A about the game on his personal X account. Here, in response to a user who wanted to see customization options for Chaos Space Marines as well as stories about the renegade group, Hollis-Leick revealed Saber Interactive’s intentions for these Astartes: “There are a lot of requests for more Chaos customization so it’s likely we’ll add it eventually.”

“Chaos stories would be cool but we’ll have to see. I’d love to tell their side of the story!”

It’s true that many players dream of seeing previously unreleased details about the traitor Astartes in the game, Saber Interactive cannot guarantee that we will get more stories or the introduction of PvE missions. “It’s actually not that simple. We’d need new animations, proper balancing, full voiceover and script for the chaos marines to make them feel real. It’s a big job.” Nevertheless, Hollis-Leick would be happy to expand the game in this way if they “can find the resources”.

The developers of Saber Interactive are “listening” to the complaints of Space Marine 2 players

In addition to thinking about new features for the core experience, Saber Interactive ensures that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 does not contain serious bugs. The team hastened to release the first patch, which polishes the initially more problematic parts. This will be supplemented by a further update. The latter is expected to have a few extra surprises at the end of the month. Ultimately, the developers say they’re “listening to our complaints.” It’s good to see that they want to give the players the best possible experience…
