SkyShowtime Announces New Exclusive Series, Films and Original Works

MOVIE NEWS – SkyShowtime has announced the arrival of new and exclusive productions, which will be available on the streaming platform this year and next.Known for offering the best entertainment from Paramount, NBCUniversal, and Sky Studios, SkyShowtime has become the home of Hollywood blockbusters and original productions, providing a carefully curated service to subscribers across more than 20 European markets.

Regarding the expanding collection of series from Oscar®-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, SkyShowtime confirmed that the next chapter of the Yellowstone epic will be the series The Madison in the Yellowstone universe, starring three-time Oscar® nominee, Golden Globe® winner, and Emmy® nominee Michelle Pfeiffer. The hit prequel series 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will also be available for subscribers. In this series, the Dutton family faces new challenges in the early 20th century, such as growing western expansion, prohibition, and the Great Depression.Additionally, viewers will soon be able to watch the new documentary Yellowstone 150, in which Kevin Costner tours Yellowstone National Park and showcases the events that led to its designation as a protected area.

Another fan-favorite returning to the lineup is Yellowjackets (Season 3). The series tells the story of a talented high school girls’ soccer team that survives a plane crash in the remote Canadian wilderness. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds also returns with a third season, depicting the years when Captain Christopher Pike commanded the USS Enterprise.

Among the exclusive series coming to the SkyShowtime platform is The Agency, a 10-part political thriller starring two-time Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender and produced by George Clooney. The series is based on the hit French drama Le Bureau des Légendes and follows Martian, a CIA secret agent, who is ordered to abandon his covert life and return to his post in London. However, when his lost love reappears, their emotions rekindle, thrusting both into a deadly game of espionage and international intrigue. The series features a star-studded cast including Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, John Magaro, and Katherine Waterston.

SkyShowtime’s upcoming lineup also includes the five-part mini-series documentary Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, which delves into the 1988 Lockerbie disaster. The tragedy claimed the lives of 259 passengers and crew when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded 38 minutes after takeoff over Lockerbie, and an additional 11 locals died when the plane crashed into the quiet Scottish town. After losing his daughter Flora in the disaster, Dr. Jim Swire (played by Colin Firth) becomes the spokesperson for the British victims’ families, as they fight to uncover the truth and seek justice.

SkyShowtime remains committed to expanding its offering of local programming, continually financing original films and series, and acquiring local productions. A Spanish series, A Recipe for Murder, is the latest addition to this original collection. The five-part documentary by renowned filmmaker Jose Gomez explores the violent death of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta, which took place on a quiet island in Thailand, and the culprit was Daniel Sancho, a 29-year-old aspiring chef known from his YouTube videos.

Along with these productions, SkyShowtime also announced the arrival of Happy Face, a series inspired by the true story of Melissa Moore and her acclaimed iHeartPodcasts production and memoir Shattered Silence. Emmy-nominated and two-time Golden Globe-winning actor Dennis Quaid stars as the titular “Happy Face” serial killer, who drew smiley faces on crime scene evidence to taunt authorities.

SkyShowtime’s expansive portfolio of exclusive and thrilling series continues to provide plenty of entertainment for subscribers – including Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, starring Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, and Terrence Howard. Based on iHeart’s popular true crime podcast, the series covers the infamous armed robbery that occurred during Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback night, which not only affected one man’s life but turned Atlanta into the “Black Mecca.” Dexter: Resurrection, starring Golden Globe and SAG winner Michael C. Hall, also joins the lineup as he reprises his role as Dexter Morgan, and he narrates the previously announced film Dexter: Original Sin.

In addition to these, SkyShowtime has announced the arrival of Kung Fu Panda 4, A Quiet Place: Day One, Back to Black, and The Fall Guy on its platform.

SkyShowtime is also expanding its wide collection of reality series, with the following shows arriving on the platform from October: Below Deck, Catfish: The TV Show, Ex on the Beach, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Million Dollar Listing (Los Angeles and New York), and selections from The Real Housewives franchise, MTV Cribs, Teen Mom, Top Chef, and Vanderpump Rules.

The exact premiere dates will be announced later.
