Is This Why Horizon 3 Might Be Delayed?! An Insider Has Spoken [VIDEO]

Horizon 3 is still a long way off; according to Jason Schreier, the Forbidden West creators are working on a Horizon MMO.

One of PlayStation Studios’ most prestigious and important teams is Guerrilla Games, creators of the Horizon saga. This franchise has been in development since 2017 and looks like it has a great future ahead of it. However, Aloy’s third adventure seems to be a long time coming, according to Jason Schreier, the only insider we share this kind of information with. According to a Bloomberg journalist, this is what the Dutch studio’s roadmap looks like, including Horizon 3.

As many of you know, two products related to Horizon IP will be released this year. But 2022 and last year saw the release of a large-scale open-world title that sold millions of copies: Horizon Forbidden West and the Burning Shores expansion, which landed on PC months later. Guerrilla stated at the time that they were already working on Aloy’s next trip. However, this project appears to be several years away from release.

Schreier told the Spawn Wave podcast that this is because Guerrilla is primarily focused on the Horizon MMO.

The game hasn’t been made official yet, but they’ve known about it for years. “I mean, Sony’s Games-as-a-Service initiative was no joke. Horizon is one of the few MMOs that hasn’t been cancelled, discontinued or failed like Concord. So…yeah, lots of questions. Many people are working on it,” said Schreier.

Even Zero Dawn Remastered and LEGO Horizon arrive before Horizon 3

One of the most surprising news from the latest State of Play is that Horizon Zero Dawn is returning with a remaster edition seven years after the original title. That’s why, as we reported, Sony has increased the price of Horizon Zero Dawn by 100% on the PS Store. This version will be released on December 31 for PC and PS5, current owners can upgrade for 10 euros. Also coming is LEGO Horizon Adventures, which will debut on all platforms except Xbox and will be released on November 14.
