Although the first add-on, Shattered Space, was released this week for Xbox Series and PC (and there’s not much interest in it on the latter platform…), there’s already talk of what the next content expansion of similar size might focus on.
On Twitter, Odahfield posted about the rumors he’s heard about Starfield’s second expansion. According to him, it will be called Starborn, and its story will focus on where Sebastian Banks, the founder of Constellation, has gone. There will also be a continuation of the Artefact story. That’s all he said in the tweet, but hearing such concrete details about what Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) is working on confirms what Todd Howard, the game’s director, said earlier: he wants to see content additions like Shattered Space every year…
OK. So, I've heard some gossip that #Starfield 's next Expansion titled "Starborn" will be about the disappearence of Sebastian Banks, Founder of Constellation and the continuation of the Artefact story. Will post more info once I know more #Starborn #Bethesda

Speaking of Shattered Space, the press didn’t get review codes before the release, and the reception of the DLC on Steam hasn’t been that great: there are 1273 reviews so far, and it fell into the Mostly Negative category! We took a look at the reviews and the very first one had this to say: “The story is boring as hell. I would recommend it if you have insomnia and have to work the next day,” and this was written by Noosphere with a positive rating. Oooch’s negative review reads, “Incredibly mediocre. I was willing to give Starfield a lot of mercy because it’s a new IP, but now that I’ve seen what they’re doing to build on it, it’s not worth it. Then Radiox’s equally negative review, “The DLC makes the game feel equally empty”, and finally another negative review from Tapdancing Kerensky, “Minimal viable product: the DLC”.
But you can also read that it has less content than any other The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC. So BGS’s work doesn’t come across as something elaborate, something that really expands the game. By comparison, No Man’s Sky makes Starfield laugh with every update! And Hello Games doesn’t stop after every update…
So it’s kind of a funny situation.
