More Devices to Play Resident Evil 2 Remake – Will it Worth for Capcom?!

The critically acclaimed Resident Evil 2 Remake will be released on December 31st for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and all iPads and Macs with an M1 chip or later.

Capcom continues its quest to bring Resident Evil adventures to Apple devices. Despite previous efforts, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 8: Village, and Resident Evil 4 Remake reportedly have poor sales, but the Japanese team is at it again, announcing that Resident Evil 2 Remake will also be available on the devices.

Specifically, RE2 Remake is coming to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and all iPads and Macs with an M1 chip or later. Based on the App Store information, the game is scheduled to be released on December 31st in the Apple ecosystem. As with previous RE releases, users will be able to try a free demo but will need to log in to access the full version.

The price of the Resident Evil 2 port has not been confirmed.

But it’s worth noting that Resident Evil 7 and Village cost $20 on Apple devices, while Resident Evil 4 Remake costs $60. Also, Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy’s adventure will require an online connection to run.

Resident Evil, AC Mirage and Death Stranding are selling very poorly on iOS

Porting the Resident Evil series to the Apple ecosystem isn’t exactly a successful strategy for Capcom. The games ported so far are estimated to have sold very few units. This performance can also be said for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Death Stranding. However, either to keep the agreement or to hope for another attempt, it has now been confirmed that iPhone, iPad and Mac users will also get the remake of RE2.
