The Wild Robot Sequel is Already in the Works

MOVIE NEWS – The total revenue of the animated film The Wild Robot has exceeded 210 million dollars since its release on September 27, which gave the green light to the sequel. The director himself, the three-time Oscar nominee Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, Lilo and Stitch – The Star Dog) confirmed that the second part is in preparation, which of course he will also direct.

The Wild Robot Based on the award-winning storybook by Peter Brown. Its hero is a robot, Roz, who is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and befriends the animals that live there. He learns empathy and love and becomes the caretaker of an orphaned duckling. It is not by chance that the film will have a sequel: in addition to its great cinema success, the fact that the tale is originally a trilogy speaks for itself. The title of the second part is The Wild Robot Escapes.

The Wild Robot is hailed by critics as the family film of the year and received 98 percent on the RottenTomatoes review portal.
