The ports announced for summer 2023 didn’t arrive when Kinetic Games originally planned, but now there may be no further delay.
Phasmophobia is a four-player online co-op psychological horror game. You and your team of paranormal investigators will enter haunted locations filled with paranormal activity and try to gather as much evidence as possible. Use your ghost hunting equipment to find and record evidence to sell to a ghost removal team.
Realistic graphics and sound, as well as a minimal user interface, ensure a totally immersive experience that will keep you on your toes. Identify over 20 different types of ghosts, each with unique characteristics, personalities, and abilities that make each investigation different from the last. Use familiar ghost-hunting tools such as EMF readers, spirit boxes, thermometers, and night vision cameras to find clues and gather as much paranormal evidence as possible. Find cursed possessions that grant information or abilities in exchange for your sanity.
Choose from over 10 different haunted locations, each with unique twists, hiding spots, and layouts. With four standard difficulties and daily and weekly challenges, there are plenty of ways to test your skills. Dive in head first, get your hands dirty, search for clues, and fight for your life. If you’re not up to the task, play it safe and support your team from the truck, monitoring the investigation with CCTV and motion sensors.
Create your own games to tailor the difficulty to you or your group, with proportional rewards, and come up with your own crazy game modes! Play with friends up to four players in this cooperative horror where teamwork is the key to success. Phasmophobia supports all players together, so play with your friends using any combination of input types. Play with your friends on other platforms.
“We are very excited that Phasmophobia is going into console early access. The community has been asking for a console version and has been waiting a long time for this to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games has worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality,” said Kinetic Games CEO and lead developer Daniel Knight in a press release.
Phasmophobia launched in early access on PC on September 18, 2020. Since then, the game has sold more than 20 million copies and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2 and Xbox Series for $20 on October 29.
