Black Myth: Wukong: When Will the Disc Release Be Available?

Despite the official announcement, it seems that it is not yet clear when Game Science’s game will be available on disk, as not everyone is a fan of digital-only content.

While there was talk yesterday that Black Myth: Wukong would be released on disc (but only for PlayStation 5!), there was no word on who exactly was behind the distribution, as it’s usually either a major publisher (like Microids) or a limited number of physical copies (this is the approach used by Limited Run Games). But let’s be more specific…

PM Studios will distribute the Chinese studio’s game, which was released digitally on August 20th for PlayStation 5 (PlayStation Store) and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It will also be available from PM Studios’ online store and is expected to sell out quickly, as the nine PlayStation 5 titles currently available (My Time at Sandrock Collector’s Edition, My Time at Sandrock Base Edition, Goodbye World, Blade Assault, Clive N Wrench Base Edition, Battle Axe Limited Edition, Ikai, Ever Forward, Hoa) are all sold out…

PM Studios has not yet announced an exact release date. The disc edition will include Black Myth: Wukong on the base, as well as a code to get the extra content for the deluxe version of the game (Bronzecloud Staff, Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers and Folk Opera Buskins equipment, and Wind Chimes curiosity). We’ll be curious to see if the Blu-ray disc is the version with the latest updates to the game, or a slightly older version, as this game also had a slightly lackluster PlayStation 5 release to begin with.

PM Studios did not mention pricing, but we should probably expect the usual price of €70.
