Cronos: The New Dawn: System Requirements for Bloober Team’s Latest Game

Although there is no exact release date for the Polish developers’ next game, they have already announced the PC system requirements.

Head over to Steam to find out what kind of configuration you’ll need to run Cronos: The New Dawn properly:

Minimum system requirements:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number is mentioned)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400F/i5-8600K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 50 GB
  • Windows compatible sound device

Minimum system requirements:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number mentioned)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 1080/AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 50 GB
  • Windows compatible sound device

So the system requirements aren’t that high (especially for a title that hasn’t been released yet), since 50 GB isn’t that much, 16 GB of RAM is now accepted (the minimum for Windows 11 because of the Copilot AI), and the latest generation of processors and video cards aren’t specified. It’s too early to know if the game will support Nvidia, AMD or Intel’s upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR, XeSS). If it’s Intel, how come none of the Intel Arc graphics cards are mentioned? Or are they waiting for the next generation of Arc GPUs to be released?

The game shown during the Xbox Partner Preview broadcast looked more like a traditional survival horror than anything else, so it will offer a different experience than the Silent Hill 2 remake, as Team Silent’s original was more of a psychological horror, while the remake focuses on the narrative. We’re curious to see what else we can expect from the game, but we don’t have an exact release date at the moment.

Cronos: The New Dawn will be released sometime in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
